Life Without Limits

“Life has no limitations, except the ones you make.” ~ Les Brown

What is the biggest challenge you face?  Money, circumstances, a relationship…or a myriad of other things may come to mind.  Now take a deep breath before reading on and remember I am just the messenger…  Your biggest challenge in moving forward in the happiest, most enjoyable, and productive way you can in life is you.

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly am not preaching. I have been and on occasion still can be a mobile disaster unit of one.  But like it or not whether it is fear based or my subconscious, the only thing that keeps me from what I want is me.  That is not an enjoyable thing to think about; however, it is true.

The truth is if you want to move in a direction, move in it.  Will it involve effort, yes.  Will it involve possibly feeling uncomfortable, perhaps.  Will it involve the possibility of not achieving the exact version of what you start out working towards, again perhaps.  But here is the thing, it may involve reaching towards and achieving something even better.  And even in the worst case scenario it always involves moving forward, learning and positive growth.

My advice to you…get out of your own way.

  1. Great post, Denise. I’d love to see follow up posts where you share how exactly to get out of one’s own way. Because even high achievers have space to grow. Personally, the times when I fall short of my goal and I deep dive why… it’s typically because I was stepping all over my own feet. And I keep seeing others doing the same one man clumsy tap dance.
